From where do your orders ship?

We are a small company, based in Rhode Island, U.S.A. All of our web orders are shipped from our Westerly, RI headquarters directly to the shipping address you supply.

Where are your products made?

While most Solid Oak products are original designs, imagined and created right here in Rhode Island, most products are manufactured overseas by our Asian partners. We have long and mutually respectful relationships with our Chinese suppliers, and know them to be ethical, hard-working, and delightful people!

Are your products safe?

Our products are designed and manufactured according to strict requirements for material safety, to meet or exceed U.S. CPSIA standards.

Are your jewelry items nickel-free and lead-free?

We specify that metals used in our products be free of nickel as well as lead and other heavy metals. Periodic lab testing has confirmed compliance.

Are your metals Conflict Free?

None of our materials ever comes from the countries specified in the 3tG as being in violation of human rights.

Do you offer quantity discounts?

Contact us if you wish to place a large quantity order. We can work one-on-one with people or groups needing a large quantity of an item. We also offer wholesale pricing to qualified businesses; look here for information on becoming a wholesale customer. We are a small business, and we try to support the development of other small businesses!

Why is your company called "Solid Oak?"

We are as solid as the granite for which our home town of Westerly, RI is famous, and we are growing like a big, beautiful oak tree? OK, maybe not - but the REAL story is a secret!

What if I get a defective product, or if a kit is missing a part?

We stand by everything we sell. We do our best to ship complete, correct items. If you do receive a defective product, or if something is lost or damaged in shipping, or if you find a kit to be missing or short of a part, please contact us with the information. We will address the problem as soon as possible.

I have a product idea. May I send it to you?

Solid Oak does not accept unsolicited product design ideas for our collections. We can, however, do custom products for other companies and groups. Contact us for more information.
