Fun Miniature Bottle Charm Ideas!

Fun Miniature Bottle Charm Ideas!

Why is that when we see something smaller than it normally should be, that it’s automatically so much cuter? So why not turn the bottles we use on a normal basis, into miniature bottlecharms? And on top of that, why not make them unique and themed?

Terrariums

They’re all the rage and gorgeous to look at, terrariums, are one of the hottest DIY trends right now. A terrarium is a glass enclosure filled with plants inside and is usually meant as a decorative item. In this case, your mini bottlecharms won’t need to use real plants; instead, using artificial plants will keep your new jewelry piece intact and usable for a long time.

You can easily find artificial moss, grass, leaves, and more at your local crafts store. Once you gather these materials, you can pick out the bottlecharms you’d like to use in your craft, as well as any otherpendants and charms you might want to include. For instance, if you are looking to create a terrarium mini bottlecharm that has a theme with birds included, you could use ourOwlCharm Set to accent the jewelry piece.

Once you have your terrarium bottlecharm or charms created, you’ll need jewelry chains or even a jewelry kit based on what you’d like to create it with. From anecklace, earrings orbracelets, this new terrarium bottle charm will be as unique as you are and your friends will want to know just where you got it!

Spooky BottleCharms

While Halloween might be over, the spooky, gothic aesthetic is always relevant. With bottlecharms, you can create your own hauntingly gorgeousjewelry pieces. A fan of steampunk? Add a few small keycharms to your mini bottlecharm to create a collection of keys that can unlock your imagination’s desires.

Want to add a few skull beads to your mini bottlecharm? Use aLaboratory Bottle Charm and accompany it with some of Solid Oak'sSmall Skull Beads, and if you’re looking to add a touch of fantasy to your bottlecharm, add a tiny mystical message on a slip of paper rolled up, or just add some glitter.  But remember - our bottle charms have real corks, which are naturally porous. If you add liquid to your bottle charm design, be sure to seal the cork to prevents leaks.

As with the terrarium bottlecharm, you can use jewelry kits, to create your very ownbracelet, necklace, earrings, and more.

Beach Memories

Want to remember that day you spent at the beach, having fun on the warm sand and hearing the ocean waves? Place a bit of sand from the beach into the bottlecharm. Depending on the bottlecharm size and style you’re using, you could add a couple of pieces of small shells or tiny pebbles from the beach as well! This is one of the simpler and easier ways to create a miniature bottlecharm, but it’s still classic and fun to keep your memories close!

We want to thank a creative crafting friend for the inspiration of using Solid Oak miniature Erlenmeyer Flasks, Florence Flasks, and Test Tubesin both jewelry and Christmas tree ornaments! She's a biochemist, and has been making jewelry and ornaments to share with her science colleagues. What a great idea for gifts for a science teacher, medical professional, or lab technician!
